Abisko Washbasin isn’t a washbasin at all

Today’s concern is all about conservation of mother nature and fresh water is said to be the most important commodity that is next to be fought after if not used wisely due to increasing demand. But people usually tend to overlook this thing since with just a turn of the tap, it freely flows and seem like unlimited.

The Abisko Washbasin is designed to capture and show the freedom and how natural water flows just like in the mountain springs of Kiruna in North Sweden. This is portrayed by a slide like design which is free from tubes or basin to collect water. In the absence of a basin, the water freely flows down the slide which has a waterfall effect as it goes to the drain grill in the floor. Being able to see the water flowing makes people aware of how much water has been used already and tend to conserve water. Also, the flowing water effect gives some relaxing aura to the place as much as the contemporary zen design of the washbasin does.

Constructed from cast marble, it has antibacterial properties to ensure proper hygiene and is virtually scratch proof since scratches can be removed by polishing. This thing would really by ideal for spas and hotels. But for private use, well it could also be appropriate if you want to have some posh hotel bathroom experience.
