“Move over Macbook!” That could have been said by this netbook, sort off.
The Sony Mebius is just like your plain netbook that seem to pop out of nowhere instantaneosly from different manufacturers. It has a 10.1″ LCD, 1GB of RAM, runs on Intel Atom N270, 160GB of hard disk drive storage capacity, 3 USB ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, and multi card reader. Basically as I have said a while ago, your plain old netbook. But the catch here is not what it has on the inside but what it has on the palm of your hands - the trackpad.
Remember what could have the Mebius said to Macbook? If you thought Apple’s sleek and cool multi-touch glass trackpad couldn’t have gotten any better, this one from Sharp is waaay cooler. The trackpad, aside from being like a mouse, also is an LCD display that has multi-touch feature that you have on Apple’s trackpad and on the iPhone. The LCD display has a pixel density of 854×480 which is quite clear for a display that size.
Too bad though that this neat feature is on a netbook and not one a more capable that could have appealed to a wider range of users.
