Kindle 2: Book 2 of Amazon’s Successful Reading Device

The internet is very much expansive in the world today to the point that almost everything can be searched through some key presses. Also, the internet is a very popular medium for information dissemination to people that regular print media such as newspaper, magazine and so on actually can become obsolete. Heck, magazine and newspaper organizations post their content online. With this, Amazon saw an opportunity to take advantage of the technology. Of course, e-books are long present but reading them on the computer screen can be very tiring on the eyes and seems really different from reading from a real paper.

Amazon’s Kindle was built on the purpose of replacing books and paper. It is built for the aim that you get the same experience from reading a book on the Kindle plus the added benefits. These benefits of course include less weight. I too don’t want to carry a book that weighs like 2 pounds when out on a trip than carrying a kindle that weighs a lot less - 0.64lbs to be exact.

The Kindle uses the latest in e-ink technology to make reading a pleasure and glare free just like on real paper. With its 2GB storage capacity, storing around 1,500 books is very manageable which can be downloaded in a matter of seconds per book. If you’re thinking about reliability since it is an electronic device, no worries since the Kindle can last for up to two weeks in a single charge and can be full again in just 4 hours.

These and other innovations present in the original Kindle makes Kindle 2 a much better reading device. Even Oprah loved the original so with the enhancements present, this reading device is such a good piece of gadget for readers and the like.
